Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of financial literacy and financial behavior on generation Z’s investment decisions in Pontianak, Indonesia. In this research, the independent variables are financial behavior (with attitude and behavior as sub-variables) and financial literacy (with knowledge and skills as sub-variables), while the dependent variable is only investment decision. The methodology used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. This research used primary data which are collected from the generation Z population who resides in Pontianak through online questionnaires. The number of indicators is 20 where the minimum sample size is 100 that will be selected through purposive sampling. The analysis conducted in this research includes data quality test, descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption test, and hypothesis analysis with multiple regression analysis using SPSS 26 Statistical Software. According to the outcomes of this research, both financial literacy and financial behavior have a significant impact on generation Z investment decisions.
