Abstract

Economic growth in Indonesia shown consistent progress per year, it's affected retail companies too. Because most of the people's income comes from the sale of goods to consumers, and Indonesia's population is constantly growing, the retail business sector is one of the business sectors with excellent opportunities for our nation. In this research, researchers trying to find the influence of Profitability (ROA), Liquidity (CR), and Capital Structure (DER) toward Firm Value (PBV) with Firm growth (PER) as Intervening Variables. It will be divided into two sub structural to get result from the variables relationship. The form of research is carried out with a quantitative research system. The research approach used in this study is associative approach. This research used secondary data from Indonesia Stock Exchange’s official website and companies’ official website. The data period at a range of 2017-2019. The total of population is 32 retail companies with 23 samples that will be conducted. From sub structural I, from F-test result shown an effect of ROA, CR, DER toward PER. From sub structural II, from F test result shown an effect of ROA, CR, DER, and PER toward PBV. For the Sobel Test, the results show Firm Growth (PER) as Z variable cannot play the role as mediating variable very well. The retail companies that listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange should have put more attention to take care the companies. The companies should make sure they are not bankrupt. Also maintain the financial statement in a safe condition will be more helpful for the companies best future. the researchers suggest the other researchers can use more larger sample size and variety.
