Abstract

This study aims to describe the moral value found in the Forrest Gump Movie and found the most prominent moral values in the Forrest Gump Movie. The subject of this research is the Forrest Gump movie and the moral values are the objects. The findings of this research show that there are six types of moral values found in the Forrest Gump Movie. They are care, fairness, liberty, authority, loyalty, and sanctity. The moral value of care appears 6 times. The moral value of fairness appears 6 times. The moral value of liberty appears once. The moral value of authority appears 3 times. The moral value of loyalty appears 8 times. The moral value of sanctity appears 2 times. The most prominent moral value is loyalty. Forrest Gump is a motivational film that contains moral values related to education, this is evidenced by the many scenes set in schools. All the data were determined by the context of the situation in the movie
