Abstract

Surahmi: Peran Ibu Rumah Tangga Dalam Memenuhi Kebutuhan Keluarga Di Desa Sungai Segak Kecamatan Sepauk Kabupaten Sintang. Skripsi Program Studi Pembangunan Sosial Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak 2022. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana peran ibu rumah tangga di Desa Sungai Segak Kecamatan Sepauk Kabupaten Sintang dalam memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga, sebagai seorang istri, dan ibu. Permasalahan mengenai pembagian waktu mengurus rumah tangga dan anak, serta gaji bulanan suami, tidak cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pokok keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, yakni penelitian yang mengkaji keadaan suatu hal yang wajar dengan peneliti sebagai instrumen utama. Informasi yang dikumpulkan dan analisis yang dilakukan keduanya deskriptif. Karena tinggal di pedalaman desa Sungai Segak yang cukup jauh dari akses seperti kecamatan Sepauk, maka hasil penelitian tentang peran ibu rumah tangga ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa kehidupan ibu rumah tangga yang bekerja cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari apabila suami maupun istri sama-sama bekerja. Mayoritas penduduk di desa tersebut bercocok tanam seperti menanam padi dan sayur-sayuran, maka untuk makan sehari-hari terpenuhi. Oleh karena itu untuk menyeimbangkan peran dan waktu sebagai ibu rumah tangga yang bekerja di rumah maupun diluar rumah sangat penting dalam kemajuan kesejahteraan keluarganya. This thesis aims to find out and describe how the role of housewives in Sungai Segak Village, Sepauk District, Sintang Regency in meeting the needs of the family, as a wife, and mother. Problems regarding the division of time taking care of the household and children, as well as the husband's monthly salary, are not sufficient to meet the basic needs of the family. This study uses qualitative research, namely research that examines a natural thing with the researcher as the main instrument. The information collected and the analysis performed are both descriptive. Because they live in the interior of Sungai Segak village which is far from access such as Sepauk sub-district, the results of this research on the role of housewives lead to the conclusion that the life of a working housewife is sufficient to meet their daily needs when both husband and wife work together. The majority of the population in the village cultivate crops such as growing rice and vegetables, so the can fulfitt their daily needs. Therefore, to balance the role and time as a housewife at home and outside the home is very important in the advancement of family welfare. Keywords: Role, Housewife, Income, and Family.
