Abstract
Hiperlipidemia merupakan suatu keadaan yang disebabkan adanya kelainan metabolismelipid yang ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar trigliserida, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL)dan kolesterol di dalam darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji aktivitasantihiperlipidemia ekstrak etanol kulit buah jeruk lemon (Citrus limon Burm.) pada tikusjantan galur Wistar yang diinduksi High Cholesterol Diet (HCD). Metode yang digunakanmerupakan eksperimental murni, Pre and Post Test Randomized Controlled Group Design.Subjek penelitian berupa tikus berjumlah 25 ekor dengan berat badan 180-200 gram. Induksidimulai dengan pemberian HCD selama 35 hari. Hari ke-36, tikus dibagi ke dalam 5kelompok yang terdiri dari kontrol negatif diberikan aquadest, kontrol positif diberikansimvastatin, perlakuan diberikan ekstrak kulit buah jeruk lemon dosis 1 (100 mg/ kg BB/hari), dosis 2 (250 mg/ kg BB/ hari), dan dosis 3 (500 mg/ kg BB/ hari). Secara acak, diambilserum pada semua kelompok untuk dilakukan pengukuran kadar kolesterol total dantrigliserida, sebagai nilai pre-test. Setelah 14 hari, dilakukan pengkuran kadar kolesterol totaldan trigliserida, sebagai nilai post-test. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS versi 18 denganuji One Way ANOVA dan uji T. Ekstrak etanol kulit buah jeruk lemon mengandungflavonoid, tanin, saponin, steroid dan fenol. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwaekstrak kulit buah jeruk lemon dosis perlakuan 1, 2, dan 3 dapat menurunkan kadar kolesteroltotal dan trigliserida pada tikus jantan galur Wistar secara bermakna dibandingkan terhadapkontrol negatif (p<0,05) dengan dosis efektif 250 mg/ kg BB. The aim of this study was to examine the activity of hypolipidemiclemon peel ethanolic extract (Citrus limon Burm.) in male rats strain Wistar induced by HighCholesterol Diet (HCD). The method used true experimental, pre and post test randomizedcontrolled group design. The subjects of this research were 25 rats about 180-200 grams.Induction start with administered HCD for 35 days. In the day 36th , rats were divided into 5groups consists negative control group administered by aquadest, positive control groupadministered by simvastatin, treatment group administered by lemon peel extract dose 1 (100mg/ kg BW/ day), dose 2 (250 mg/ kg BW/ day), and dose 3 (500 mg/ kg BW/ day).Randomly, blood serums were collected from all groups and the total cholesterol andtriglycerides, as a pre test value. After 14 days, the total cholesterol and triglycerides as posttestvalue were measured. All of the data were analyzed by using SPSS version 18 with OneWay ANOVA and T-Test. Lemon peel ethanolic extract contains flavonoids, tannins,saponins, steroids, and phenols. The results of statistical analytic showed that lemon peelextract dose 1,2, and 3 can decrease the total cholesterol and triglyceride levels in maleWistar rats significantly compared to the negative control group (p<0,05) with effective dose250 mg/ kg BW.
