Abstract

Penulisan ini ingin menjelaskan bahwa pada zaman teknologi seperti sekarang ini banyak sekali memberikan kemudahan dalam segala bidang kehidupan, termasuk dalam penyebaran informasi dan juga kemudahan untuk berinteraksi. Kemunculan media sosial pada zaman sekarang ini sangat membantu setiap individu untuk saling berinteraksi dan juga bertukar informasi dalam waktu yang sangat singkat,salah satu di antaranya adalah media sosial Instagram yang dimana media ini berfungsi untuk penyebaran informasi dalam berbagai hal berbentuk video, foto maupun tulisan. Penulisan Skripsi ini dimaksudkan untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai peran media sosial Instagram pada Gerakan sosial di Kota Pontianak. Permasalah mengenai fenomena pengemis dan gerakan sosial di daerah ini cukup menarik untuk diteliti mengingat masih banyaknya terdapat masyarakat yang lebih memilih untuk mengemis dibandingkan berkerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran media sosial Instagram dalam gerakan sosial “Ketimbang Ngemis” di Kota Pontianak Kalimantan Barat, dan juga untuk menganalisis berbagai macam faktor yang menghambat pembentukan dan pelaksanaan gerakan sosial “Ketimbang Ngemis” di Kota Pontianak melalui media sosial Instagram. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan pelaksanaan peran media sosial instagram dalam gerakan sosial “Ketimbang Ngemis” di Kota Pontianak ini mencangkup 3 hal yaitu Sebagai media pengumpulan masa modern, Sebagai media penyebaran informasi, sebagai media untuk menyebarkan inspirasi sehingga dapat membangun kesadaran pada masyarakat. Sehingga dapat diketahui bagaimana peran media sosial terhadap gerakan sosial “Ketimbang Ngemis ini”. This thesis writing aims to explain that in the age of technology as it is today, that it provides a lot of convenience in all areas of life, including the dissemination of information and also the ease of interaction. The emergence of social media in this day and age is very helpful for each individual to interact with each other and also exchange information in a very short time. One of the social media is Instagram where it serves to disseminate information in various forms, such as in the form of videos, photos and writings. This research is intended to provide an understanding of the role of Instagram in social movements in Pontianak City. The problem of the beggars’ phenomenon and social movements in this area was quite interesting to study considering that there are still many people who prefer to beg rather than work. This study aims to describe the role of Instagram in the social movement “Ketimbang Ngemis” in Pontianak City, West Kalimantan. It also aims to analyse various factors that hinder the formation and implementation of the social movement “Ketimbang Ngemis” in Pontianak City through Instagram. The results of this study showed that the implementation of the role of Instagram in the social movement "Ketimbang Ngemis" in Pontianak City includes 3 things, such as; As a medium for collecting modern times, As a medium for disseminating information, and As a medium for spreading inspiration. So that it can build awareness in the community. It can also be seen how the role of social media is in the social movement "Ketimbang Ngemis".
