Abstract
Abstrak Prestasi akademik merupakan hasil yang dicapai oleh siswa setelah mengikuti suatu kegiatan pembelajaran, yang hasilnya kemudian ditandai dengan skala nilai berupa huruf atau kata atau simbol. Prestasi belajar dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor yang terdiri dari faktor internal dan eksternal. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar yaitu motivasi. Motivasi merupakan dorongan mental yang menggerakkan dan mengarahkan perilaku manusia, termasuk perilaku belajar.Untuk mengetahui hubungan motivasi dalam memilih program studi keperawatan dengan prestasi belajar pada mahasiswa keperawatan angkatan 2014 di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif yang menggunakan desain survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 88 orang.Penelitian ini menunjukkan mayoritas mahasiswa mempunyai motivasi tinggi dengan prestasi belajar sangat memuaskan berjumlah 38 (43.18 %) orang. Hasil uji chisquare didapatkan nilai p > 0.05 (p = 0.451), maka H0 diterima..Tidak ada hubungan motivasi dalam memilih program studi keperawatan dengan prestasi belajar pada mahasiswa keperawatan angkatan 2014 Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak. Abstract students’ achievement defines as a result that is achieved by students afterhaving learning activities in the classroom, the result can be in the form of letters, words,or symbols. Students’ learning achievement is influenced by many factors. The factors are divided into two groups: internal and external factors. One of them is motivation.Motivation is a driving force which affects human behaviors, included learning behavior.to know the correlation between motivational factors in choosing nursing andstudents’ achievement in learning.the form of this research is quantitative while the method that is used is analytical survey with cross sectional approach. The technique of sampling is simple random sampling and the sample is 88 students of the first semester.the result indentified there are 38 (43.18 %) students have high motivation withvery high learning achievement. The result of chi-square test is p > 0.05 (p = 0.451),therefore H0 is accepted there is no correlation between motivation in choosing nursing study program with students’ learning achievement of students in the first semester of nursing study program in medical faculty at Tanjungpura University-Pontianak Academic Year2014/2015.
