Abstract

Olahaga teratur telah terbukti bermanfaat bagi tubuh manusia dan paru-paru. Latihan fisik atau olahraga menyebabkan terjadinya peningkatan daya tahan otot pernapasan sehingga fungsi pernapasan akan meningkat. Atlet cenderung memiliki peningkatan kapasitas paru bila dibandingkan dengan individu yang tidak berolahraga. Tujuan: mengetahui gambaran fungsi pernapasan pada atlet cabang aerobik dan anaerobik. Metodologi: Peneltian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptf dengan pendekaan cross sectional. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 30 atlet cabang aerobik dan anaerobik di Gedung Oahraga Pangsuma dan Keboen Sajoek Pontianak. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Spirometri digunakan untuk menilai fungsi paru berupa Kapasitas vital paksa (KVP) dan Volme ekspirasi paksa detik pertama (VEP1). Hasil: Nilai KVP dan VEP1 pada cabang olahraga aerobik lebih besar dari cabang olahraga anaerobik. Rata-rata KVP atlet renang, balap sepeda, bola basket dan bola voli yaitu sebesar 6,29 liter, 6,28 liter, 6,01 liter dan 5,62 liter. Rata-rata VEP1 atlet renang, balap sepeda, bola basket dan bola voli yaitu sebesar 5,93 liter, 5,86 liter, 5,78 liter dan 5,44 liter. Kesimpulan: Kapasitas fungsi paru pada atlet cabang olahraga aerobik lebih tinggi dibandingkan cabang olahraga anaerobik. Atlet renang memiliki kapasitas fungsi paru tertinggi dibandingkan dengan atlet balap sepeda, bola basket dan bola voli. Abstract Regular exercise has proved to be beneficial for the human body and the lungs are no exception. Athletes tend to have an increase in pulmonary capacity when compared to non-exercising individuals. Objective: To determine the description of pulmonary fungtion of athletes engage in aerobic sport and anaerobic sports. Methodology: This study was a descriptive study with cross sectional approach. The subject of this study were 30 athletes of aerobic sport and anaerobic sport. Sample was taken by total sampling. Spirometry is used to assess lung function based on force vital capacity (FVC) and forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) values. Results: The measurements FVC and FEV1 values of aerobic sport were higher than anaerobic sport. Average FVC values of swimmers, cyclist, basketball athletes and volleyball athletes are 6,29 liter, 6,28 liter, 6,01 liter dan 5,62 liter. Average FEV1 values of swimmers, cyclist, basketball athletes and volleyball athletes are 5,93 liter, 5,86 liter, 5,78 liter dan 5,44 liter. Conclusion: Pulmonary function of aerobic sport were higher than anaerobic sport. The swimmers had a higher values of pulmonary function compared to cyclist, basketball athletes and volleyball athletes.
