Abstract

The academic education community mainly carries out the development of teaching materials. However, the development of mathematics teaching materials that comply with NCTM principles and originate from the Qur'an, which highlights the needs of students in Islamic schools, is still very much needed—explicitly highlighting the implementation of inheritance calculations as a form of mathematical implementation of comparative material. This study aims to develop concise mathematics teaching materials with Islamic content using QS An-Nisa: 11-12 concerning inheritance which is presented in the form QRCode. This research is development research using the Plomp and Nieveen models with research subjects of class VII students at the Generation Madani Islamic School As-Sakinah, Pontianak, Indonesia. The research instruments were interview guides, observation sheets, material analysis, and questionnaires. Data was collected through interviews and direct observation, while material analysis and questionnaires were carried out relatively quickly. The results of this development are in the form of mathematics teaching material products that can be accessed via QR Code which contains a leaflet design for comparison material based on QS An-Nisa: 11-12 implementation of inheritance law. The results of the study obtained teaching materials that were feasible to use (valid) with a final average score on a Likert scale of 5, namely 4.63, a very valid category. In general, valid mathematics teaching materials obtained are teaching materials that are based on NCTM principles so that they can meet the needs of students. For example, in Islamic schools, the verses of the Qur'an are the foundation so that learning can occur effectively.
