Abstract

Hukum adalah suatu tatanan yang mengatur dan membina manusia agar selalu berada pada jalan yang benar, sesuai dengan latar belakang konsep ini. Untuk mewujudkan pembangunan nasional sebagaimana yang tertuang dalam Pembukaan UUD 1945, diperlukan sumber daya manusia yang dapat mendukung pembangunan tertib hukum yang sesuai, khususnya lalu lintas. Sektor transportasi merupakan salah satu sub-sektor yang paling signifikan dan terkenal dalam pembangunan modern. Jalan raya cukup ramai dengan lalu lintas. Upaya apa yang telah dan belum dilakukan di Kecamatan Pontianak Kota menjadi perhatian utama penelitian ini. Tindakan polisi apa yang telah dilakukan dan belum dilakukan untuk mengurangi kecelakaan lalu lintas adalah pertanyaan di balik penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dalam penelitian ini, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teori sosialisasi adalah yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan strategi dan inisiatif apa yang digunakan polisi lalu lintas untuk mengurangi atau menekan angka kecelakaan yang terjadi di Kecamatan Kota Pontianak dalam rangka meningkatkan arus lalu lintas. Oleh karena itu, dapat dikatakan bahwa polisi telah melakukan segala upaya dengan program-program yang telah dibuat untuk memastikan masyarakat disiplin dan tertib dalam berkendara. Kata Kunci: Upaya Polisi Lalu Lintas, Disiplin, Kendaraan, Masyarakat Law is an order that regulates and fosters humans so they are always on the right path. Therefore, we need a human resource that can support the creation of the right legal order, especially traffic in order to actualize the national development as outlined in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution. One of the important and prominent sub-sectors in today's development is the land transportation sector, specifically road traffic, which is safe, orderly, smooth, and efficient in order to ensure the smooth running of various activities to create prosperity and peace in the community. The problem faced today is the increasing number of traffic accidents on the highway. The focus of the research was "What efforts have and have not been done in the Pontianak Kota District" and the research question was “What efforts have and have not been carried out by the police to overcome traffic accidents?”. This study used the descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The techniques of data collection were observation, interviews, and documentation. This study also used the socialization theory. The results of this study showed the efforts and programs controlled by the traffic police in reducing or suppressing the number of accidents that occurred in the Pontianak Kota District in order to facilitate traffic. Therefore, the conclusion is that the traffic police have made every effort as much as possible with the programs that have been made so that people are orderly and disciplined in driving.
