Abstract

MARSELA: Kehidupan Sosial Ekonomi Pedagang Kaki Lima Dalam Memenuhi Kebutuhan Keluarga di Waterfront City Pontianak Selatan. Skripsi program Studi Pembangunan Sosial Fakultas Imu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Tanjung Pura 2022. Penulisan skripsi ini dimaksudkan untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan yang di hadapi pedagang, mengungkap faktor-faktor pendorong masyarakat memilih bekerja menjadi pedagang, dan menganalisis dampak positif dan negatif menjadi pedagang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa kehidupan sosial ekonomi pedagang kaki lima setelah berjualan di Waterfront City mengalami peningkatan, dari yang kurang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga menjadi mampu memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga, faktor pendorong masyarakat memilih untuk berjualan adalah faktor ekonomi, dan dari kegiatan berjualan tersebut menimbilakn dampak positif seperti meningkatnya perekonomian dan terjalinnya hubungan sosial yang baik antar pedagang sedangkan dampak negatifnya semakin sempitnya ruang terbuka di Waterfront City karena pedagang yang membuka lapak sembarangan. Berjualan di Waterfront City di harapkan dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat khususnya masyarakat yang ada di sekitar Waterfront City. ABSTRACT MARSELA: the social-economic life of street vendors in meeting the needs of families in waterfront city south Pontianak. Thesis on social development study program, faculty of social and political sciences, Tanjungpra Uniersity 2022. The purpose of writing this thesis is to identify the problems faced by traders, to reveal the factors that encourage people to choose to work as traders, and to analyzethe positive impacts of being a trader. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. the results of this study explain that the socioeconomic life of street vendors after walking in waterfront city has increased from those who are less able to meet family needs to be able to meet family needs, the motivating factor for people to choose to walk is oconomic factors, and froms selling activities is has positive impacts such as improvement of the economy and the establishment of good social relations between traders. while the negative impact is the narrowingof open space in the waterfront city due to traders who open stalls carelessly. selling waterfront city is expected to improve people’s living standards,especially those around waterfront city.
